This concert from the Charlotte Symphony’s 2012-2013 Classics Series showcases two composers from conductor Christopher Warren-Green’s native England. Vaughan Williams entered the first rank of British composers with his early Fantasia, and the Walton concerto provides a showpiece for the orchestra’s principal violist Rebekah Newman. The program is rounded out by a typically emotional symphonic statement from Tchaikovsky.
