Winston-Salem Symphony Associate Conductor Matthew Troy leads his first full concert with the orchestra in this program from the 2012-2013 Season. It opens with music by a contemporary Chinese composer, then welcomes guest artist Antonio Pampa-Baldi, a Mendelssohn specialist, to perform the Piano Concerto in g, as well as a Chopin encore. The culmination of the program is Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
